The BE1-36RC-N is a 36-inch Series 9 grill with a rotisserie and a charcoal insert, on natural gas. Its U-burners are rated at 25,000 BTU per hour, with control from 300°F to 1100°F, and a secondary surface for indirect cooking. It is a current model, with an LP version sold as BE1-36RC-L.
A rotisserie that will not turn is often a seating problem, not a motor problem: the rod needs to sit fully in the motor socket. We check that first, then the motor and its switch. Why will my rotisserie rod not turn?
The rod may not be seated all the way in the motor socket, or the motor may be struggling with an unbalanced load. We check the seating first, then the motor and switch.
Why do I get flare-ups on this grill?
Grease on the radiant trays catches fire and flares. Regular cleaning prevents most of it; we also check that the burners and trays are in the right position.
Why are the dials dark but the grill lights?
The dial lighting has its own bulbs or connections apart from the ignition. We test the lighting and its wiring and replace what has failed.
