BGB36-BQAR
DCS BGB36-BQAR 36-Inch Grill Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Cracks at the burner bends
- Corroded rotisserie motor bracket
- Burner no longer seated properly
- Heat uneven from left to right
The BGB36-BQAR is a 36-inch BGB grill with a rotisserie. Its U-shaped burners are 304 stainless, precision-ported, and rated at 25,000 BTU each. You can mount it on an optional DCS cart or build it into an island, and it belongs to the older BGB generation.
A U-shaped burner is long and takes thermal stress at the bends. Over the years, hairline cracks form there, and a cracked burner burns unevenly or leaks flame. If a burner has shifted off its seat, the flame lands in the wrong place, and we look at the retaining hardware. Corrosion on the motor bracket is the other thing we find.
Because the BGB series is older, we look into burners and brackets before the repair and tell you plainly when it would not pay. The quote is written before work begins. Cart gas hookups and island piping are for a licensed plumber.

Why do U-burners crack at the bends?
Repeated heating and cooling stress the metal where it curves. We inspect each burner for hairline cracks and replace any that leak flame or burn unevenly.
What if my burner has moved out of its seat?
A burner that sits off its seat gives an uneven flame and may not line up with its electrode. We reseat it and check the hardware that holds it in place.
Can I keep using the optional cart?
Yes, if it is sound. We look at the cart's frame, casters, and gas connection while we are there. Any change to the gas hookup goes to a licensed plumber.
