The CDV3-304 is the newer-generation 30-inch gas cooktop in the DCS Professional cooktop line, with four burners. It is among the more recent cooktops we service, so most calls are about daily wear and spills rather than age.
A new-looking cooktop still has the same weak points: burner caps that are set down slightly off, ports that catch grease, and ignitors that get wet. When one burner will not light, we dry and clean it, then test that ignitor with the others. A low flame that drops out is a different check, and we work through the valve at that burner.
We tell you before the visit ends what we found and what it costs, and a written price comes before any part is ordered. Our work has a 30-day workmanship warranty. If the cooktop is going into a remodel, any move of the gas line goes to a licensed plumber, and we read the exact number from the label to match parts.

My newer cooktop will not light one burner. Is that serious?
Usually not. A spill, damp ignitor, or crooked cap is the common cause, and cleaning fixes many of them. If the burner still will not light, we test its ignitor and the spark module.
Why does the flame go out on low?
A flame that drops out at the lowest setting can come from dirty ports, a partly blocked orifice, or a valve that needs adjusting. We check each in turn so you do not pay for a part you do not need.
Do you handle gas line work during a kitchen remodel?
No. Moving or extending a gas line goes to a licensed plumber. We service the cooktop itself and are happy to test burners and ignitors after the plumber finishes.
