CDV3-304H
DCS CDV3-304H Four-Burner Cooktop Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Ignition clicking but flame not catching
- Flame yellow at one burner
- Grate feet scratching the surface
- Burner head stained after a boil-over
The CDV3-304H pairs the newer CDV3 generation with the Series 9 designation, in a 30-inch gas cooktop with four burners. The H in the number separates it from the plain CDV3-304, and we check the label so that the right parts come.
For a four-burner cooktop this new, our checks go quickly if the owner can tell us which burner acts up. We start with that burner’s cap and head, because a boil-over stain on a head often means the ports below are partly clogged. Then we test the ignitor and confirm the flame is steady at high and low.
If everything at the burner is clean and dry and the flame still does not catch, the spark module or the valve comes next. You see a written price before any part is ordered, and our repair carries a 30-day workmanship warranty. Outlet or breaker problems go to an electrician, and gas piping goes to a licensed plumber.

What does the H add on a CDV3-304H?
The H version carries the Series 9 designation. Both are 30-inch, four-burner gas cooktops, so the burners are similar, but we still read the full number from the label so we order the exact parts.
The igniter clicks, but there is no flame. What now?
Check that the gas supply valve is open and that the burner head is dry and seated. If it still clicks without lighting, we test that burner's ignitor, ports, and valve.
What if the cooktop has no power to the igniters?
We check whether the cooktop is receiving power at its own connection. If the problem is the outlet or breaker, an electrician handles it, and we handle the cooktop side.
