CDV3-365H
DCS CDV3-365H Series 9 Cooktop Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Simmer not holding steady
- Burner igniting late with a puff
- Knob bezel loose or discolored
- Grate not sitting flat on the surface
The CDV3-365H is a 36-inch gas cooktop with five burners from the newer CDV3 generation, with the Series 9 designation on top of it. Cooks who bought it often wanted a low, steady simmer next to a strong sear, so that is where many service calls begin.
A simmer that will not hold, or a burner that lights late with a small puff, tells us to look at the ports and the ignitor gap. We clean the burner and check where the spark meets the gas, because a spark that arrives after the gas starts flowing produces that puff. A loose knob bezel or grate gets a quick look too.
If you are sure which burner is the trouble, tell us when you book; it saves time on site. We give a written price first, back the work with a 30-day workmanship warranty, and read the model and serial from the label to match the H version. Fuel line work belongs to a licensed plumber.

Why does my burner light with a puff?
Gas building up before the spark arrives makes the puff. It usually points to a dirty ignitor, a clogged port, or an ignitor positioned too far from the burner, and we clean and adjust those first.
Why will my simmer not stay low?
A simmer that will not hold may come from clogged ports, a stuck valve, or a dirty burner head. We clean the burner and test the valve movement before deciding on a part.
Is the 365H worth repairing?
Yes. It is a newer cooktop with parts that can be matched by model number, and repair is usually cost-effective. We show a written price first so you can decide.
