Most common issues on this model
- Indicator light on with no heat
- Humidity vent movement
- Drawer closing flush
- Heating element
- Thermostat
The WDTI is an indoor professional warming drawer from DCS, a discontinued model that shares its guide with the WDT-30. Its number does not include a width, so we read the label to see exactly which drawer is in your kitchen.
A drawer with the indicator light on but no heat is a classic case for testing the element and the thermostat, because the light only means power is reaching the drawer. A humidity vent that has stuck changes how moisture behaves inside, which affects bread and crisp foods, so we check that it opens and closes freely. A drawer that does not close flush may have a bent glide or a part out of place, and we look for that too.
Older drawers can have scarce parts. We check what is available before the repair, give you the price in writing, and say plainly if a repair is not worth it. We warrant our work for 30 days. The rating label shows us the exact model before we order.
Key features
- Indoor professional warming drawer
- Same guide as the WDT-30
- Discontinued older model
The light is on but my WDTI is cold. Why?
The light only shows power. The element or thermostat has probably failed, and we test both before quoting a part. We do not replace parts we have not tested.
What does the humidity vent do?
It lets some moisture escape or stay in, depending on its setting. If it sticks, food comes out too soft or too dry, so we check that it moves freely.
Why does the drawer not sit flush when closed?
A bent glide, a loose front or an obstruction may be to blame. We inspect the drawer and track and recommend the simplest fix. Often one adjustment fixes it.
