BE1-48RCI-N

DCS BE1-48RCI-N Sear Burner Grill Repair

Most common issues on this model

  1. Patchy glow on the sear burner when grease coats its ceramic face
  2. Rotisserie burner dropping out when the safety valve button is let go
  3. Hood and dial lights dark when the grill's fuse opens
  4. Heat uneven along the long firebox

The BE1-48RCI-N is a built-in Series 9 grill, 48 inches wide, built around U-burners rated 25,000 BTU per hour apiece, an infrared sear burner that tops out at 24,000, and a rotisserie with a back burner, a safety valve, and a halogen light. It uses natural gas and is a current model; the LP version is BE1-48RCI-L.

With this many parts, we sort problems by system. The sear burner glows unevenly when grease has reached its ceramic face. The rotisserie burner depends on its safety valve, so a flame that goes out when the button is released tells us to look at that valve and its connections. If the hood and dial lights go dark together, a blown fuse in the grill’s power supply is the likely cause.

A written price comes first, and the repair carries a 30-day workmanship warranty. Gas lines go to a licensed plumber and outdoor circuits to an electrician. We read the model and serial from the label before ordering parts.

BE1-48RCI-NBE1-48RCI-N questions
Why does my rotisserie burner go out?

The burner relies on its safety valve, so letting go of the button too soon, or a weak valve, can put it out. We test the valve and the flame path before replacing a part.

Why are my hood and dial lights both dark?

A blown fuse in the grill's power supply can darken lights together. We test the supply and fuse and look for what caused it to blow.

What is the difference between the 48RC and 48RCI?

The 48RCI adds the infrared sear burner to the rotisserie and charcoal layout, so there is one more burner to service. We read your label to match parts.
