BH1-48-N
DCS BH1-48-N 48-Inch Grill Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Temperature gauge stuck or clouded
- Burner not lighting on cold, damp mornings
- Smoker tray bent by direct flame
- Heat uneven across the width
The BH1-48-N is a natural gas Series 7 grill, 48 inches wide and without a rotisserie. It has four stainless burners, a built-in temperature gauge, a smoker tray, and a grease-reducing design. The LP version is sold as the BH1-48-L.
A gauge that is stuck or fogged leaves you cooking blind, so we check whether it can be cleaned or needs replacing. With four burners across 48 inches, each burner covers a lot of grate, and one weak burner shows up as a cold spot. We compare them side by side. Cold, damp mornings are hard on ignition, so we dry and test electrodes and wiring.
We give you the price in writing and say plainly what we recommend. Gas line work is for a licensed plumber, and the label gives us the model and serial for the parts order.

Error codes this model can show
Why will my grill not light on cold, damp mornings?
Moisture on the electrodes or wiring weakens the spark. We dry and inspect them, and replace worn parts so the grill lights reliably when the air is damp.
Can a fogged temperature gauge be fixed?
Sometimes it can be cleaned. If moisture is inside the gauge or the needle sticks, we replace it so that you can trust the reading again when you cook.
Why are there cold spots on the grates?
A weak burner or clogged ports leave a cold spot. We light each burner and compare the flames, then clean or replace the one that differs from the rest.
