BH1-48R-N
DCS BH1-48R-N Rotisserie Grill Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Rotisserie back burner going out after lighting
- Flames uneven along the long firebox
- Knobs cracked from sun exposure
- Rotisserie slow
The BH1-48R-N is a Series 7 rotisserie grill, 48 inches wide, on natural gas. It has a grease channeling design, cast stainless grates, and a rotisserie back burner, and it fits an island or a cart. The LP version is the BH1-48R-L.
A back burner that lights and then goes out is a classic complaint, and we look at the electrode, the gas flow, and the valve in turn. Flames that vary along the long firebox usually come from clogged ports, so we compare burners across the width. Knobs that crack in the sun are a cosmetic repair, but a cracked knob can also hide a stiff valve, so we check beneath it.
A written price comes before the work, and our repair carries a 30-day workmanship warranty. The gas line to an island is a licensed plumber’s job. Before we order, we read the model and serial off the label.

Error codes this model can show
Why does my back burner light, then go out?
A weak electrode, low gas flow, or a valve that does not hold open can cause it. We test each in turn and replace only what has failed.
Why do my knobs crack?
Sun and heat make them brittle over time. We replace cracked knobs and check the valve stems underneath, because a cracked knob can hide a stiff valve.
How is the 48R different from the 48 without a rotisserie?
The 48R adds a rotisserie and its back burner, so there are more parts to service. We read the label to confirm which model you own before ordering.
