My CDU-304 burner will not light since I cleaned it. Why?
Moisture or cleaner in the burner base, a misplaced cap, or a wet ignitor is the usual cause after cleaning. Let it dry fully and reseat the cap; if it still will not light, we test the ignitor and spark module.
Will the grates stay discolored?
Heat discoloration on grates is cosmetic in most cases and does not affect cooking. We look at whether the grates sit level and whether the burner flame is clean, which matters more than the color.
