Why is one burner on my CDV2-304 yellow-tipped?
Yellow tips usually mean the burner ports are dirty or the burner cap is misaligned, so the gas does not mix well with air. We clean and reseat the burner, then check the flame again before replacing anything.
Do all four burners click when I turn one on?
On many cooktops the sparking is shared, so clicking at every burner is normal. If one burner clicks but will not light, we look at that burner's ignitor and ports rather than the whole system.
What do you check first on a cooktop that will not light?
