Most common issues on this model
- Bake element and wiring
- Meat probe jack and sensor circuit
- Keypad response after cleaning
- Door seal and lock
The WO-127SS is a 27-inch single electric wall oven in stainless steel, a discontinued DCS model that is still installed in many Houston kitchens. It was sold in other colors as well, such as the WO-127BK, WO-127WT and WO-127GN, and the interior measures 16 inches high, 22 wide and 18-5/8 deep.
It needs a 240 V, 35 A supply, so a dead oven can mean a tripped breaker or a wiring problem before it means a failed part. We check power first. After that, the bake element, the meat probe jack and the keypad are the parts that fail most on ovens of this kind. A probe that has shorted can put the control in an error state, and a keypad that does not respond needs testing before replacement.
Because the oven is discontinued, some parts are hard to find. Since DCS no longer makes it, we find out what parts exist before any quote, and the label supplies the model and serial for ordering. If a repair makes no sense financially, you hear that from us. Work on the supply circuit goes to an electrician.

Error codes this model can show
Why does my wall oven show an error after I use the meat probe?
A shorted or damaged probe, or its jack, can trip an error on the control. We test the probe and jack and replace what is bad.
The keypad does not respond. Is the board bad?
Not necessarily. Moisture from cleaning, a worn membrane or a connector can all cause it. We test the keypad and its ribbon before deciding.
Do I need an electrician for a dead oven?
If the oven has no power at the supply, yes: a 240 V, 35 A circuit is the electrician's work. If the supply is good, we test the oven itself.
