Six burners, a griddle and two ovens below, a main one and a secondary one, make up the RGV2-486GD, a 48-inch gas range from the final DCS generation. The griddle and grill lids have to be removed during use, so heat can escape upward and not build underneath.

Why do the lids have to come off the griddle?
Heat can build up under a closed lid and damage the cooktop around it. If a lid was left on, we inspect the area and quote any repair.
My small oven is cold but the big one works. Why?
That smaller oven has an igniter and controls of its own, so the problem is likely there. We test those parts without disturbing the main oven. That is quicker and cheaper than treating both ovens as one.
Can you replace an oven light bulb?
Yes. If it is burned out and the socket is fine, it is a quick repair, and we can add it to other work on the visit.
