Four gas burners and an electric oven make up the RDV2-304, a dual fuel DCS range 30 inches wide from the Series 9 Professional line. It is also sold with the N and L suffixes, RDV2-304-N and RDV2-304-L. It is the compact option in this family and fits a standard 30-inch kitchen opening.
A four-burner 30-inch range has less to troubleshoot than the wide models, but the checks are the same ones. We light each burner and look at flame shape and response, test the electric oven for bake and broil heat, and compare the oven temperature against the setting. If the controls do not respond as expected, we check the knobs and their connections before moving on to the oven parts.

Is a 30-inch dual fuel range simpler to repair?
It has fewer burners, so there are fewer places to check on the cooktop. The oven and controls still get the same careful testing. That makes it a good size for smaller kitchens that still want gas burners and an electric oven.
What should I do if a burner will not light?
Check the cap and the burner for dirt or moisture. If the burner still will not light, call us and we will test its igniter and the gas reaching it.
