Cooktop & Rangetop Repair in Houston
We repair DCS cooktops and rangetops, including gas burners, igniters, valves and controls. Each burner gets tested, and we lay out what we find with a written price before repair, on units that are fairly new or well past ten years.
Common cooktop & rangetop problems we fix
In the order we see them across Houston homes.
One burner will not light
Igniters click without stopping
Flames are uneven or yellow
Knob is stiff or does not turn
Low flame goes out on its own
Grates or caps sit unevenly
DCS cooktops and rangetops are heavy built-in gas surfaces, from compact cooktops to wide rangetops with multiple burners and sometimes a griddle. They rely on valves, igniters, burner caps and sealed bases that keep spills away from the cabinet.
Houston kitchens are humid, and boil-overs and grease drip down into burner ports and igniter wells over the years. A cooktop in a home that was remodeled or left idle can also develop sticky valves and corroded electrodes.
Each burner is checked for flame, spark and gas flow, then the valve and knob. On an older cooktop, we say plainly whether the part exists and whether fixing or replacing is the better path. The model label under the cooktop or inside the cabinet tells us the generation, which helps us bring the right igniters and caps. Describe what the burner does when you turn the knob, and we prepare for that.

Why Houston owners call us
Trained on DCS cooktop & rangetop controls and diagnostics.
Genuine OEM parts, stocked for the most common repairs.
A written price, approved by you before any work starts.
A 30-day workmanship warranty on every repair.
Why does my rangetop click after the flame is lit?
Continuous clicking often means moisture, spilled food or a misaligned burner cap is confusing the igniter. We dry and clean the burner, check the cap seat and test the spark module before replacing anything.
Can you repair just one burner?
Yes. Each burner has its own valve, igniter and cap. We test that burner and its controls and fix only what needs it, with the price in writing first.
Is a plumber needed for my cooktop?
Only if the problem is on the supply side. Work on the gas line, a switch between natural gas and propane, or a new connection goes to a licensed plumber. Burner, igniter and valve trouble on the cooktop itself is ours.
