What Hi means
On DCS RF24RE3 and RF24LE3 refrigerators and on RF24TR1, RF24TL1, RF24BTR1 and RF24BTL1 beer dispensers, a flashing Hi means the compartment temperature has moved 10 degrees or more above the set point for more than an hour. The alarm stays active until the condition is corrected. It can sound briefly at first start-up, after the door was open a long time, or after loading a lot of warm items.
Common causes of Hi
- A first start-up or a recent heavy, warm load
- A door left open or a gasket that is not sealing
- Air flow around the unit that is restricted
- A cooling or control problem if Hi returns
1. Press any key to mute the sound. It silences the alarm only, and the alarm repeats for 20 seconds every 60 minutes. 2. Make sure the door is fully closed. 3. Check that nothing blocks the vents around the unit. 4. Give the cabinet time to recover after a warm load. 5. Check perishables once the temperature settles.
- If Hi returns after a normal load with the door closed, the cabinet is not holding temperature, and we test the cooling system.
- We check the sensor reading and the door seal as well, because both can make Hi appear.
- We give a written price first, and repairs carry a 30-day workmanship warranty.

What does Hi mean on my DCS outdoor refrigerator?
The compartment has been 10 degrees or more above the set point for more than an hour. Hi flashes and the alarm stays active until the temperature recovers.
Can Hi be normal?
Yes, sometimes. It can sound at first start-up, after a long door-open time, or after adding a lot of warm items. If it clears as the cabinet cools, nothing is wrong.
Does pressing a key fix Hi?
No. A key only mutes the sound. The alarm repeats every 60 minutes while the condition continues, so a cabinet that stays warm needs a cooling check from us.
Still seeing Hi?
A technician diagnoses it on site and gives you the price in writing before any work starts.
